CCWS also offers yard waste recycling collection and
periodic white goods (i.e. washers, dryers) pick ups .
Recycling bins are provided free of charge to customers
when they sign up for residential service or our PAYT program.

Carroll County Waste Services believes that recycling is an important
part of conserving our environment. We make every effort to help our customers be environmentally aware and to help them make
good decisions regarding what items can be recycled
or reused and what items should be thrown away.
Below is a list of acceptable items for the
Carroll County Single-Stream Recycling Program.
All of these items can be placed in your recycling bin or toter.

Plastic
Empty wide-mouth containers: peanut butter, margarine/butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, whipped topping, and prescription medicine bottles. Lids and caps on these containers do not need to be removed.
Metal
Empty metal food and beverage containers, including aluminum foil and pie pans
Empty aerosol cans
Glass
Empty glass containers (jars and bottles) of all colors.
Paper
Juice and broth boxes, milk and juice containers (including gable top), cardboard and paperboard boxes (remove liners from cereal boxes), office paper (typing, fax, copy, letterhead) and envelopes, newspaper (including inserts), magazines, catalogs, junk mail, books (paperback, hardback, textbooks), brown paper bags, corrugated boxes, telephone books, non-metallic wrapping paper, computer printouts
