Waste Watcher Update
Beginning March 1, 2009:
A minimum of 20 tags must be purchased at a time. Tags will continue to cost $2.50 each.
Checks for tags should be made out to Carroll County Waste Services
Service days will vary. Be sure to call to verify the day that your trash & recycling will be collected

What is the PAYT Program?
PAYT is a Pay-As-You-Throw trash collection
program tailored to smaller families and/or
serious recyclers who have minimal trash.
With PAYT, your cost is based on how much you recycle
versus how much you throw away. Simply put: the more you recycle, the less you pay. We are seeking to stress the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling
everything from soda bottles to yard trimmings.
Can I get yard waste collection?
PAYT customers can still use our normal yard waste program. Call us at 410-795-2595 or visit our Pricing Page for more information.
How will my disposal
method change?
Customers choosing to make a difference by using this program must attach a PAYT tag to each 33-gallon trash bag placed at the curb or in a trash can. Tags can be purchased for $2.50 each by calling 410-795-2595. Note: Tags are sold in groups of twenty.
Will you recycle my Christmas tree?
Yes! CCWS operates a separate, free, Christmas tree recycling program.

Why was this program developed?
The PAYT program is environmentally friendly, and it helps us reach our goal of reducing the amount of refuse put into Carroll County landfills while increasing the amount of material we recycle. This benefits not only our community but our world as a whole. This special service is only available in the 21784 zip code.

When will my recycling
